Below is a sampling of sales and services administered through the Nobles SWCD.
Seed Sales
The Nobles SWCD currently operated a seed sales program for native grasses, waterway mixes, and erosion control see mixes. We have a set mix for several conservation programs, but we are also able to do custom mixes if needed.

No-Till Drill:
Dew Drop
The Dew Drop drill is a smaller drill for use with ATV's and smaller equipment. This drill has a 3ft seeding width and is useful for narrow, rougher, and harder to get places. This drill is highly useful for food plots and can even seed corn for wildlife use.
Price: $7.50 per acre or $75.00 minimum
Tree Sales
The Nobles SWCD offers several tree species available for sale for conservation practices and wildlife plantings. A current tree price list can be found at the link below, at the office or mailed upon request. The trees available are considered "conservation grade" and are sold as bareroot seedlings or transplants. Evergreens are sold as bareroot or potted depending on preference. Additional species and sizes can be available upon request and all tress are subject to availability so early orders are suggested.

Tree Planting
Tree planting services are available through the SWCD. Tree planting of bareroot tress is also available with a tree planter. Landowners are required to provide a tractor and a driver. SWCD staff will bring out on site the trees and the tree planter. The District is unable to provide tree planting services for potted tree stock.

No-Till Drill: John Deere 1590
The John Deere No-Till Drill has a 15ft seeding width with 7.5 inch row spacing. This drill requires a tractor with HP and hydraulics for use. The drill can seed a variety of seeds including native grasses, waterways and pasture mixes, Oats, Wheat, and Soybeans.

No-Till Drill: Great Plains
The Great Plains Drill has a 12ft seeding width with a 7.5" inch row spacing. The overall machine width of this drill is 15ft. This drill requires a tractor with 55 HP and hydraulics for use. The drill can seed a variety of seeds including native grasses, waterways and pasture mixes, Oats, Wheat, and Soybeans.

Tree Matting
Tree matting or fabric is available for sale through the District. 3'X3' squares of fabric are available as well as 6' wide tree fabric and landscaping staples. The Nobles SWCD also offers installation of the 6' wide fabric with a machine. Landowners will need to provide a tractor and driver in order to utilize this service. The tree fabric is a black perforated fabric that allows water penetration as well as keeping down weed and grass competition. The reduction in competition as well as other factors allows faster tree growth along with reducing weeding workload associated with newly plated trees.
